This policy covers UnlockRole's website (unlockrole.com) and its companion browser extension, UnlockRole. It explains what data we collect, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
What we collect
When you create an account and fill out your profile, we store:
- Your name and email address (from Google sign-in, or entered directly)
- Phone number, city, and country
- LinkedIn and portfolio URLs
- Work authorization status, visa sponsorship needs, relocation and remote-work preferences, notice period
- Years of experience and desired salary range
- Your uploaded resume file
The browser extension does not collect or store any of this on its own. It reads your profile from your UnlockRole account (only while you're signed in) and uses it locally in your browser to fill in job application forms. It also detects the job title, company, and description on the application page you're viewing, so it can resolve relevant context for any AI-drafted answers you request. None of that page content is stored by us beyond the single request needed to generate an answer.
How we use it
Your profile and resume data is used only to:
- Autofill job application forms through the browser extension
- Optionally draft suggested answers to free-text application questions, using your resume, profile, and the job posting you're applying to (processed via Groq's API; never used to auto-answer demographic, legal, or consent-related questions)
- Show your profile summary in the extension's popup and in-page panel
We never sell your data, and we never use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Third parties we rely on
- Google - for signing in (OAuth), shared across UnlockRole, Job Finder, and Resume Builder
- Groq - processes resume/job-posting text to generate AI-drafted answers; it does not receive your name, email, phone, or other identifying profile fields
- Dodo Payments - handles premium subscription billing as our payment processor; we never see or store your card details
Cookies
We use a single signed session cookie to keep you logged in across unlockrole.com, Job Finder, and Resume Builder. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Data retention and deletion
Your profile and resume are kept as long as your account exists. To delete your data, email us (below) and we'll remove your profile, resume, and account.
